Slow week for the family here in Vegas as we were actually over in Hawaii for our annual vacation 🌺 Alina has officially decided she wants to be a pilot now after the amazing team at Southwest let her sit in the cockpit and push a few buttons before takeoff. Thankfully, the flight still landed exactly where it was supposed to 😅

Today, I’d love to hear from you. We’ve been doing this newsletter for about a year now, and the response has honestly blown us away. Our open rates are around 5x higher than the average newsletter or business email, which tells me this community really enjoys staying connected to what’s happening around the Valley.

But there’s always room to make this thing even better. What would you like to see MORE of in the newsletter? More local events? Family activities? Food spots? Development news? Hidden gems? Hit reply and let me know.

I personally read every response and do my best to reply to each one. With nearly 40,000 readers across the Valley now, it may take me a couple days to get back to everyone… but I truly appreciate every message.

🏡 Tiny homes break ground in Henderson

The Gist: A new tiny home development called “Six on Tin” has broken ground near Henderson’s Water Street district. The project will include six 380-square-foot modular homes built off-site and delivered by Boxabl.

Why It Matters: Housing size and price are getting squeezed in a lot of places, so experiments like this matter. These homes are aimed at adding “middle-income” options in a growing downtown area where affordability is a constant pressure.

💡 400 new lights brighten Boulder Highway

The Gist: Henderson has turned on about 400 new streetlights along Boulder Highway as part of its major “Reimagine Boulder Highway” project.
The lighting aims to improve visibility for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists on one of Nevada’s most crash-prone corridors.

Why It Matters: This is one of those changes you actually notice on your drive home. Better lighting means clearer sightlines at night, which can make a real difference on a road that’s long had a reputation for danger.

A celebration dinner at Chef’s Roma Kitchen comes with plenty of warmth from the moment you sit down. Calamari starts things light and crisp, followed by lasagna, chicken francese, and shrimp diablo that all land rich, fresh, and well balanced. Even simple touches like extra lemon or a well-made martini stand out. Tiramisu and cheesecake close the meal on a sweet note.

Between attentive service and a relaxed, polished dining room, everything moves at an easy, thoughtful pace that makes the evening feel special without trying too hard.
