In Henderson, our community grows through shared passions. My BJJ journey began at 42 after my wife wisely suggested I stop boxing: "You're already kind of dumb, how many more years do you want to get hit in the head?"

At 10th Planet Vegas, my family found not just a gym but a community. I train early mornings while my kids practice afternoons. Our recent tournament saw Alina (7) take 1st, Gabe (9) place 2nd, and me earn two silvers.

The friendships we've made through BJJ in this community have become central to our lives. Dozens of our closest friends are now families we met on the mats. I might even convince my wife to try the women's only class with Val Hamilton on Friday nights.

Through martial arts, we've built lasting friendships and discovered that strong communities form through common challenges and mutual support. Whether you're a parent or child, there's a place for you in our growing Henderson BJJ family.

By fostering these connections through shared activities and mutual respect, we contribute to building a stronger, more resilient Henderson where neighbors become friends and friends become family.

🚪 Coyotes Cafe and Cantina – Henderson
After 30 years in Henderson, Coyotes Cafe and Cantina has permanently closed. Known for its Tex-Mex fare, happy hour deals, and neighborhood bar vibe, it shut its doors in mid-March. Really sad to see this one go 😢

☀️ Henderson Hosts Summer Job Fairs

Looking for a summer job? The City of Henderson is hiring for part-time roles in pools and summer camps! Two more hiring fairs are scheduled: April 5 at Henderson Multigenerational Center, and April 12 at Whitney Ranch Rec Center.

Applicants must be at least 16 with a valid photo ID, and on-site interviews could lead to same-day job offers. Apply online before attending! Read more here.
