Indoor soccer season is back in full swing. I’ll let you in on a little secret… I’ve never really been a soccer person. YES, I know, it’s the most popular sport in the world, but it just hasn’t ever been my thing. Until my daughter fell in love with it.
Now we’re playing three different seasons a year, she just got recruited for a new team, and this weekend was their first game.
Out of respect, the ref turned off the scoreboard when the girls were up 12–0, and the other team was allowed to put in extra players. I think the final score ended up somewhere around 25–1. The girls absolutely crushed it.
And as I’ve said before, I really love the communities our family has built through athletics. Here’s to a safe, fun, and successful indoor season!

🎬 Dam Short Film Festival returns to Boulder City
The Gist: Nevada’s largest film festival is back for its 22nd year in Boulder City this February. The Dam Short Film Festival runs Feb. 11–26 and will showcase more than 150 short films across genres like drama, comedy, horror, sci-fi, international, and animation. The schedule also includes filmmaker Q&As, mixers, and a special program honoring founder Lee Lanier.
