OK, help us settle an annual debate. When is the appropriate time to decorate for fall?

This past weekend (yes, I know, it’s still August!), I already saw Halloween candy on shelves at some local stores!

The kids love seeing it, and are already asking about Halloween costumes, so I can’t really complain too much. But personally, I think a sprinkle of pumpkins and fall décor in late September feels right, and then Halloween decorations can wait until October 1.

What about you? Do you go all in on early fall vibes, or do you wait until the calendar says it’s officially spooky season?

Big news for comfort food fans: Zippy’s is bringing its Hawaiian classics to Henderson with a brand-new location opening Sept. 9 on South Eastern Avenue. That means saimin, Spam musubi, and their famous chili are about to be much closer to home.

To sweeten the deal, Zippy’s is celebrating with a $9.99 Korean fried chicken and chili mixed plate (normally $15.45) until Sept. 21. Doors open at 10 a.m., so get ready to line up early!

Why It Matters: The program helps families save on energy bills while supporting Nevada’s clean energy goals.
