🐔 Raising Cane’s – Henderson

The third Henderson location brings late-night chicken finger runs to Water Street, with nods to Lake Mead, Basic High School, and the Hoover Dam. Expect all the classics—crispy chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, buttery Texas toast, and that famous Cane’s Sauce.

Open late (’til 3 a.m. on weekends), it’s perfect for post-game bites or midnight cravings, all served in a space that celebrates the local community.

🐶 Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar – Henderson

Opened in February, this cozy-yet-modern spot near Sunset Station brings comfort food, craft beers, and dog-friendly patio vibes to Henderson. The menu’s got something for everyone—ahi tuna, chicken nuggets, pot roast, burgers, and a s’mores brownie sundae for dessert lovers.

There's even a menu for pups. With warm service and inviting décor, Lazy Dog is already a favorite for casual dinners, dog dates, and patio hangs.

👮 Henderson Names Interim Police Chief

Captain Anthony Branchini has been appointed acting chief of the Henderson Police Department following the retirement of Acting Chief Itzhak Henn. Branchini brings 26 years of experience to the role and will serve while the city continues its search for a permanent chief.

He steps in during a leadership transition that began earlier this year with the departure of Chief Hollie Chadwick. The next chief will be the 10th in 25 years. Read more here.

🏙️ Parq on Boulder Opens in Henderson

Parq on Boulder, a new luxury apartment community in Henderson, is now open and leasing. Located at 6741 Boulder Highway near Union Village, it offers one- to three-bedroom homes with quartz counters, stainless steel appliances, and wood-style floors.

🌱 Student Farmers Market Returns

Northern Nevada’s Giant Student Farmers Market returns 05/15 at the Nevada State Legislature. Over 150 students from 15 schools will sell fresh produce and crafts grown through Green Our Planet’s school garden and hydroponics programs.

The hands-on initiative teaches STEM, sustainability, and financial literacy while encouraging entrepreneurship. Supported by Hometown Health, the event highlights how school gardens can grow both food and future leaders. More here.
