We’ve been spending every free hour at the park lately, getting in soccer practice with my daughter before it hits 110 degrees outside.

Henderson nails it when it comes to parks. Growing up in LA, most parks felt like afterthoughts—broken swings, trash everywhere, and not exactly the safest spots.

🏡 Cresta Rosa Opens in Henderson

Richmond American Homes recently unveiled Cresta Rosa, an exclusive new gated community in Henderson. The neighborhood features spacious two-story homes with 5 to 6 bedrooms and floor plans ranging from 3,680 to 4,320 sq. ft.

🐾 Henderson Shifts Animal Control to New Department

Starting July 1, Henderson’s Animal Care and Control will move from the Police Department to Community Development and Services. City leaders say the shift will help focus resources on animal welfare without competing with police priorities.

While some advocates have voiced concern, officials emphasize that services, staffing, and enforcement won’t change. Police will still assist when needed, and plans for expanding the East Galleria facility remain on track. The move is part of a broader reorganization ahead of the new fiscal year. More info here.
