The Gist: The demolished Fiesta Henderson casino site is getting a major makeover. Developer Agora Realty plans to build a 150,000-square-foot fieldhouse with 24+ courts for basketball and volleyball, plus an outdoor sports field, batting cages, restaurants, and a 145-room hotel. The 35-acre complex, tentatively called Henderson Commons, will transform a long-vacant lot into a community gathering spot.

🏒 Pro Women's Hockey coming to Henderson
The Gist: America First Center in Henderson's Water Street District will host preseason scrimmages for the Professional Women's Hockey League ahead of the Las Vegas team's debut. Training camps open November 18, featuring full games followed by a 3-on-3 overtime and a shootout. Details on fan access will be announced at a later date.
Why It Matters: We get an early look at the valley's newest pro sports franchise before the team heads to T-Mobile Arena.
