Ikea is introducing a new retail concept to Henderson with the upcoming opening of a “plan and order point with pickup” studio. Located in the Whitney Ranch Shopping Center near Sunset Road and Stephanie Street, this smaller-format store is expected to open later in 2025.
Spanning just 2,900 square feet, the planning studio is a significant departure from Ikea’s typical warehouse-sized superstores. It will offer personalized design assistance for kitchens, bedrooms, and living rooms—allowing shoppers to plan their spaces with the help of Ikea staff.
Unlike Ikea’s traditional stores that feature extensive showrooms and in-house cafeterias, the Henderson location will focus exclusively on home design consultations and online order services. Customers can explore product options digitally, place orders with staff support, and later pick them up at the store.
This approach aims to cater to locals looking for Ikea’s design expertise and affordability without making the trip across town to Summerlin. However, it won’t include any of the typical Ikea food offerings—no Swedish meatballs, cinnamon buns, or cafeteria seating.
With this new concept, Ikea continues expanding its reach across Southern Nevada. The Henderson studio provides a more accessible option for residents in the southeast valley, especially those interested in room makeovers or renovation planning.
While it won’t replace the full Ikea experience, the planning studio adds a convenient and focused alternative for design-forward shoppers.
