🌄 Henderson is getting a Maxie’s of its own

Welp… I have no idea or update on what’s going on in Vegas this week, as I just got back from Phoenix.

In the “real world,” outside of running this newsletter, I’m a business coach. I’ve written books on lead generation, designed a daily planner for sales professionals, and coach businesses on increasing productivity.

The Gist: Henderson is accepting applications for its Hometown Heroes Banner Program, which honors local active-duty military members with banners along Water Street and Green Valley Parkway. Applications are open through Sept. 8, with no cost to families.

Why It Matters: For Henderson families with someone serving, seeing their loved one’s banner around town is a pretty special way to recognize their service. The banners also give the rest of us a chance to see and appreciate the local military members who call Henderson home.

The Gist: Maxie’s, known for its over-the-top breakfast dishes and cereal milkshakes, is opening a Henderson location this month at 1695 E. Cactus Ave. The new spot will include a restaurant, bar, private dining room and a 130-seat event space shared with Aroma Café.

Why It Matters: Henderson is getting another option for everything from a casual breakfast to a larger celebration. The event space could also be handy for birthdays, gatherings and other occasions that need more room than a typical restaurant table.
