🌄 Global cocktails are coming to Henderson

Last week, my daughter and I got some free tickets to go see the UFC BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) matches live at the UFC Apex Center. Both my kids have been doing jiu-jitsu for several years, and it was a treat for Alina to get to see some world-class athletes compete! The matches didn’t all end as we would have preferred, but it was still an amazing event.

There never seems to be a shortage of things to do (off the Strip) here in Vegas. What sporting event or concert have you been to recently that you enjoyed?

The Gist: Terminal 4, a new cocktail and whiskey bar, is opening this month above The Coffee Class at 37 S. Water St. The menu will feature travel-inspired drinks, including cocktails inspired by Peru and Ecuador.

Why It Matters: Water Street keeps picking up new places to grab a drink or a bite, and this one has a fun local connection. The bar takes its name from the nonexistent Terminal 4 at Harry Reid International Airport, while giving Henderson another spot for an evening out without heading toward the Strip.

Fratelli’s Pizza Kitchen brings a little Staten Island to Water Street, with New York-style pizza, calzones, pasta and classic Italian dishes. The menu goes beyond pizza, with garlic knots, mozzarella sticks, eggplant sandwiches, meatball subs and cannoli.

There’s also a small room for parties and larger groups. If pizza night is coming up, Fratelli’s has plenty to choose from, and you may want to save room for that cannoli.

The Soggy Dog makes washing your pup a whole lot easier. The self-wash stations come with shampoo, conditioner, towels, brushes and dryers, so you can get your dog clean without trying to wrestle them in your own bathtub.

The team is right there to help when you need it, and nervous pups get plenty of patience. They also offer grooming, nail and teeth cleaning, plus pet supplies and treats.
