🏗️ New Housing and Businesses Boost Henderson's Water Street District

Henderson’s historic Water Street District is turning heads with its latest milestone: The Watermark, a 151-unit apartment complex opening at the end of June. Designed with community in mind, it features a pool deck, hot tub, yoga and cardio rooms, plus two floors of retail space. Rent starts just over $1,800 for a 1-bedroom.

This comes as part of a larger downtown revival, with new businesses like MacKenzie River Pizza, Public Works Coffee Bar, and local favorites like Juan’s Flaming Fajitas making the area a foodie and family hotspot. Read more here.

🏟️ Big Win for West Henderson: Fieldhouse Breaks Ground!

A major sports and family hub is on the way! The City of Henderson just broke ground on the 160,000 sq. ft. West Henderson Fieldhouse, a $70M indoor complex rising near Chicken N Pickle at St. Rose & Maryland Pkwy.

Opening in fall 2026, it’ll feature basketball, volleyball, turf fields, laser tag, bowling, an arcade, birthday rooms, and even a restaurant-bar. Locals get 20% off events and programs.

Backed by KemperSports and city funds, the project is expected to create 238 jobs and boost the local economy by $39M yearly. Read more here.

🚧 Nevada Way Revamp Decision Delayed

Boulder City will hold off on deciding sidewalk and parking upgrades for Nevada Way until June 10. Residents and city staff clashed over the plan during a heated council meeting.

Public Works Director Gary Poindexter warned that the street’s old infrastructure needs urgent repairs. But councilmembers want more data on how “Option 2A” would affect parking and seating before signing off.

One part of the project did move forward: the city approved $3 million in ADA upgrades through a deal with the RTC, pushing those funds to the 2025-26 budget. Construction could still start July 7—if the council approves the full plan next month, Read more here.
