BC Cares Ambulance Program Brings Peace of Mind to Boulder City Residents

Affordable Emergency Transport Now Available for Locals Fire Department Launches Life-Saving Membership with Extras

Need an ambulance but worried about the bill? Boulder City Fire Department just made that stress a thing of the past (well, within city limits at least). Introducing the BC Cares Ambulance Program — a cost-effective safety net for locals who want coverage before they need a ride to the ER.

This new initiative is open to Boulder City residents aged 18+ and offers two covered ambulance transports per year from your residence to a nearby hospital. Whether you live solo or with the whole crew, there's a membership tier that fits your household like a pair of well-worn flip-flops:

  • Individual Plan: $75/year

  • Family Plan (up to 5 members): $125/year

  • Family Plus: $125 + $10 for each additional resident

Heads up: Medicaid patients are already covered and don't need a membership. Also, if you're outside Boulder City's corporate boundaries or a third-party ambulance is needed (rare, but it happens), you're on your own for the cost.

But wait, there's more. Members can also join free life-saving courses like:

  • Adult & Pediatric BLS/CPR/AED Certification

  • "Stop the Bleed" First Aid Training

It's not just about getting to the hospital—it's about empowering locals to act fast when every second counts.

Why it matters: In a town where neighbors still know each other's names and community care is more than a buzzword, this program just fits. Whether you're retired and living near Veterans Memorial Park or wrangling toddlers off Buchanan Blvd, BC Cares adds a layer of security you didn’t know you needed.
