☕ A 3-story coffee wonder is coming to Water Street

I recently spoke on stage at a business conference, and it was extra special because, for the first time, my kids got to see Dad up there in front of 800 people.

By trade, I spent 25 years as a mortgage loan officer (my partner, Leah, runs that team now, just in case you need a mortgage 🙂). Over the last 10 years I’ve built a sales and business coaching company, which takes me to lots of live events. This was the first one my kids attended where I gave the keynote.

🎖️ Free wellness event offers pain relief for veterans in Henderson

The Gist: The Tom Silver Foundation is hosting Operation Pain Relief, a free two-day mental wellness event for veterans today and tomorrow, Nov. 13–14 at Findlay Honda Henderson. The program provides natural, drug-free tools for managing chronic pain through clinical hypnotherapy sessions led by certified hypnotherapist Tommy Giorlando. Supported by local partners, the event honors veterans with resources to ease pain and stress.

Why It Matters: It’s a chance for local veterans to find relief, connection, and healing at no cost. A powerful way to give back to those who’ve already given so much.

💖 Boulder City Hospital Foundation opens community award nominations

The Gist: The Boulder City Hospital Foundation is now accepting nominations for its annual Heart of the Community Awards, honoring individuals, couples, or organizations that make a meaningful difference through service, leadership, and generosity. Nominees should reflect compassion, integrity, and dedication to improving life in Boulder City. Nominations are open through Nov. 14, and winners will be celebrated at the 2026 gala on Feb. 7.
