My lovely wife has gotten the short end of the stick since we had kids — her birthday happens to fall on Halloween! This year, we’ll probably trick-or-treat Friday night, party with friends on Saturday, and then I owe my wife a great birthday date night on Sunday.

We’re also kicking off the Halloween season a week early by joining Dragon All Star Cheer’s Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, October 25th, from 4–7 PM! It’s shaping up to be a fun and safe evening for both our athletes and the community.

The Gist: Construction is underway on Haas Automation’s 2.5 million-square-foot manufacturing plant near Henderson Executive Airport. The long-awaited project, now estimated at $500 million, is set to be completed by the end of 2026 with operations beginning in early 2027. The California-based company plans to move all its manufacturing to Southern Nevada, creating a major new hub for industrial jobs.

The Gist: More than 100 homes along West Basic Road in Henderson got free repairs and fresh coats of paint during Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada’s “Make a Difference Day.” Volunteers trimmed trees, cleaned yards and repainted homes, helping residents who couldn’t afford costly maintenance.
